PE: Percussion Essentials

Students will learn the essential repairs for standard drums and percussion instruments. This will include the following:

• Learn how the instruments are designed to work
• Learn tuning
• How to replace heads
• How to adjust the action on
  • ​Standard snare drums
  • Timpani
  • Mallet instruments
• Restring mallet instruments
• Bell kit repairs
• Chime repairs
• Cleaning
• Diagnosing repair issues
