CM-W: Clean & Maintenance for Woodwinds

Students will learn the proper techniques for cleaning woodwind instruments as well as how to teach students how to maintain them. This will include the following:

• Cleaning the case
• Removing the dust from the instruments
• Proper instrument wipedowns
• How to sanitize the different instruments
• Proper mouthpiece cleanings
• How to remove and install flute and piccolo head corks
• Proper neck and bell cleanings
• How to polish hard rubber mouthpieces
• Greasing screws and oil instruments
• Bore oiling wood instruments as needed
• Proper instrument assembly to prevent damage
• Tips to teach students to keep their instrument in proper playing condition

This course will take (2) 2-hour sessions @ $40.00 = $80.00
