Andy Highhouse - Guitar

Andy is a very accomplished professional guitar player. He has been playing since he was 17 years old and has toured and played professionally for decades. During the 60’s – 80’s, he played in various classic rock groups . He keeps up on all current music and teaches students how to read music and tab as well as how to play by ear. His goal is for his students to have fun playing music like he has had for many years.

Cody Smith - Piano & Theory

Cody is a pianist, accompanist, teacher and musician living in the Riverside community.  A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Cody earned his masters degree in Piano Performance studying and working under Dr. Robert Watson, Director of the Performance Science Center Lab and the Keyboard Area Coordinator. Having been a member of CSU Fullerton’s New Music Ensemble, Cody is an avid performer of new and unique musical works using many secondary techniques including prepared piano setups.  His previous scholastic studies include a bachelor’s degree in music, with an emphasis in Piano Performance, completed at the University of La Verne studying under Dr. Scott Farthing and Timothy Durkovic as well as a Diploma from the Orange County School of the Arts (formerly Orange County High School of the Arts).  He currently works at the Pomona Fellowship Church of the Brethren as the Director of Music, leading the choir in rehearsal and performance, teaching Piano and Music Theory at JKEAA Music store as well as working from his own private home studio.

Devin Martinez - Saxophone and Piano

Devin has been a private teacher for several years since graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelors of music degree in Jazz Studies in 2013. He earned multiple scholarships and  made the Dean's list upon graduation. He teaches and performs saxophone as well as piano. Since graduating high school, Devin has been an active performer in all arenas of music including pop, jazz, rock, classical, and latin. He has performed in settings such as rock bands, small chamber groups, jazz combos, big bands, symphonic bands, and has done solo performances.  He has performed in venues all over California including the House of Blues in Anaheim and Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood.  Devin has also had the pleasure to perform with renowned composers and musicians such as John Fedchock and Richie Cole. 

Travis Schenck - Brass

Travis currently lives and teaches in Riverside while attending school at California State University, Fullerton. He is studying to earn a BM with an emphasis in Composition, and earned his AA for Transfer with Distinction in Music from Riverside City College in 2017. He is currently a member of the Placentia Symphonic Band, which is the largest all-volunteer community band in the western United States and has been playing trumpet for more than a decade, teaching lessons for brass instruments since he was in high school.  He has also performed for a number of TV shows and movies with ensembles from his time in high schoool and at RCC. Besides teaching music, he has been a marching band Visual Instructor for King High School, in Riverside, and is currently one of the main Visual Instructors for Roosevelt High School, in Eastvale.
